Wanda I. Montañez, Ed.D.

Wanda I. Montañez is an experienced education executive with over 15 years in K–16, nonprofit, and mission-driven sectors. She has led cross-functional teams and high-impact initiatives that have improved outcomes for students across the country. Her work spans statewide college access, adult education, and enterprise-wide strategy, with expertise in data-informed planning, equity-centered leadership, and operational excellence. Wanda has held senior roles in innovation and program management and is recognized for driving systems change and managing large-scale budgets with accountability. She earned her B.A. from Framingham State University, M.Ed. from Boston University, and Ed.D. from the University of Massachusetts Boston. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and has received awards for her leadership and contributions to equity in education.

PURPOSE

Our Mission

Agile Consulting Group’s purpose is founded on the core tenants of organizational development and leadership (ODL) and organizational agility (OA). In particular, how these concepts both in theory, and practice, enhance nonprofit performance and sustainability. ODL aims to address whether the current business model is sustainable given organizational infrastructure factors such as, financial management, leadership, and staff. Whereas, OA seeks to address environmental factors at the micro, macro, and/or sector-specific levels, to capture opportunities or mitigate risks.

Ashlee Carter, Ph.D., MS

Ashlee Carter, Ph.D. is an experienced higher education leader with extensive expertise in student support services, case management, crisis response, health and wellness initiatives, and Title IX compliance and investigations. She has developed and implemented policies, training programs, and intervention protocols that strengthen institutional effectiveness and enhance student well‑being. Dr. Carter has served on nonprofit boards and has consulting experience with nonprofit organizations, supporting projects such as strategic planning, board development, and program review. In her consulting work with higher education institutions, she has advised on compliance, policy and process development, and has conducted appellate reviews for conduct‑related matters. Her consulting approach reflects the unique operational, regulatory, and cultural contexts of both sectors. She holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership, Management, and Policy from Seton Hall University, an M.S. in Higher Education Administration from Drexel University, and a B.A. in Public Relations from the University of Hartford.

Jesslyn Katherine, MPA, MA 

Jesslyn Katherine is a policy and institutional development professional with experience across government, industry, education, and nonprofit sectors in Indonesia and the United States. She serves as Chief Operating Officer of Indonesia Patisserie School, Manager at KADIN Institute Indonesia, and Operations & Communications Coordinator at The Du Bois Freedom Center.

Her background includes policy analysis at the Indonesian Coordinating Ministry for Maritime & Investment Affairs, research and teaching assistant at NYU Wagner, and political fundraising and civic engagement work in the United States. She holds a B.A. from Boston University and a dual MPA-MA from New York University. She is fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with working proficiency in Modern Hebrew.

Meet the Team

Dr. John D. Lloyd, EdD, MBA

Dr. John D. Lloyd is an accomplished executive with over two decades of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector. He is the principal of Agile Consulting Group, a management consulting practice that offers a wide range of strategic management services, including assessment and evaluation, financial management, fundraising, board development, and training/facilitation, all tailored to nonprofit organizations in the Northeast region. Additionally, through strategic partnerships, Dr. Lloyd provides interim executive director services, as well as executive search and transition services to nonprofit organizations. Beyond his consulting work, Dr. Lloyd is an adjunct faculty member at Bentley University, where he teaches strategic management, human dynamics in organizations, and leads the capstone course for the undergraduate honors program. A Massachusetts native, Dr. Lloyd holds a Doctorate in Organizational Learning and Development from University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from Bentley University, and a Bachelor of Science from Plymouth State University.

Allison Caffrey, MEd

Allison has worked in the nonprofit and public sector for the past 20 years in a variety of roles helping to connect individuals and communities with resources and opportunities with a goal of positive social change. She has worked with local and national organizations in education, youth development, workforce training, community development, policy, and social justice, and has significant experience with fundraising, strategic planning, leadership development, and capacity building for nonprofits. Allison earned her BA from Dartmouth College and her M.Ed from Harvard University.
